LEBURN'S HIGHLAND BAGPIPE. AKA - "Bagpipe (1) (The)." AKA and see "Merry Bagpiper (The)." Scottish, Highland Schottische (whole time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABCCDD (Lowe): AABBCCDD (Milne): AABBCCDD' (Skinner). The melody was composed by Alexander Leburn (1767-1836) of Auchtermuchty, Fife. Set as a reel, it was entered into the music manuscript collection of County Cork uilleann piper James Goodman as "Merry Bagpiper (The)."
