LEO'S REEL. AKA and see "Quadrille Français ." French-Canadian, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. The tune is similar to Québec fiddler Biography:Joseph Allard's "Quadrielle Français." When not played for dancing, the first strain of the tune is 'crooked', starting with measures in 3/4 time interspersed with measures in 2/4 time.

Source for notated version: transplanted French-Canadian fiddler Omer Marcoux (Concord, N.H.), who learned this dance tune from his brother, Leo. When he couldn't remember the name of the tune he simply called it after his brother [Miskoe & Paul].

Printed sources: Miskoe & Paul (Fiddle Tunes of Omer Marcoux), 1994; p. 30.
