Fiddler Paddy Reynolds (1920-, originally from the townland of Garvary, near Ballinamuck, County Longford, recorded the tune in New York in 1971 for Rego Irish Records when in his 50's, and at the height of his career. Reynolds immigrated to New York in 1947 and quickly became a leading member of the Irish music scene. He frequently partnered with fiddler Andy McGann.
