O'Sullivan (1958) identifies Lord Massereene as probably the 4th Vicount Massereene, whose seat was at Antrim Castle. "He was M.P. for County Antrim from 1703 till 1714, when he succeeded his father. He married, 9th September, 1713, Catherine, eldest daughter of Arthur Chichester, 3rd Earl of Donegall, by his second wife Catherine, daughter of Arthur Forbes, Earl of Granard. He died at Antrim on the 11th February, 1738, and is buried there. According to Hardiman (p. lix), Carolan also composed a tune for Lady Massereene. If so, the tune has not been found" [O'Sullivan, p. 260].
