MARCH ON. AKA - "March on, March on." American, March (whole time). USA, New England. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "March On" was printed in a few volumes of martial music in New England in the first decade or two of the 19th century, and appears in a handful of musicians' manuscripts from the same time period, including the copybooks of Abel Shatuck (Colrain, Ma., 1801), fifer Seth Johnson (Woburn, Ma., 1807) and James Hosmer (1798).
