MARCHE DE LA TUQUE. French-Canadian, March (cut or 2/4 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABCBA. "March de La Tuque" was recorded in November, 1930, in Montreal by fiddler Isidore Soucy and accordion player Donat Lafleur; it was released in January 1931 by Starr Records. The second strain is borrowed from "Miss McLeod's Reel (1)," and Soucy researcher Jean Duval believes the first and third strains my have been composed by Soucy and Lafleur.
