MARY WITH THE AMBER LOCKS (Máire an Cuil Omraig). AKA and see "Máire Óg na gCiabh." Irish, Air (3/4 time, "with feeling"). G Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The identical tune (albeit transposed) appears in O'Sullivan/Bunting (No. 68, p. 105) under the title "Máire Óg na gCiabh" (Young Mary of the Tresses).

Source for notated version: "O'Neill" [O'Neill]. Chicago Police Sergeant James O'Neill was a fiddler originally from County Down. He served as Francis O'Neill's transcriber and collaborator on his early volumes.
