MASTER GILES. AKA and see "Chelmsford Races," "Hullichan Jig," "Guard House (The)," "Marchioness (The)," "Soldier's Dance." English, Scottish; Jig (6/8 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Master Giles was a young and talented horseback rider and member of the equestrian team at Edinburgh's Royal Circus during the 1791 season, known as "The Little Devil on Horseback."
