MILLER OF DRAUGHIN, THE. AKA - "Miller of Droghan," "Miller of Drohan." AKA and see "Humors of Kinvara (The)," "Reel (79)." Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. A distanced version of the Scots tune "Miller of Drone (1) (The)." The American old-time "Grey Eagle (1)" is another distanced version. Fr. John Quinn finds an untitled reel (see "Reel (79)") in County Leitrim piper and fiddler biography:Stephen Grier's (c. 1824-1894) c. 1883 music manuscript collection to be cognate (with parts reversed).
