MISS CAMPBELL'S REEL [3]. AKA and see "Mrs. Captain Ross." Scottish, Reel (cut time). E Minor (Kennedy): C Minor (Campbell, Dale). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. "Miss Campbell's Reel (3)" was originally a composition of fiddler-composer and bandleader biography:Robert Mackintosh (c. 1745-1808) called "Mrs. Captain Ross", printed in his Fourth Collection of New Strathspey Reels (c. 1804). Compare with Rev. Luke Donnellan's Oriel region (south Ulster) version "Miss Campbell's (4)." The tunes are distanced, but cognate.
