MISS FRASER(‘S REEL). AKA and see "Highway to Coilsfield." Scottish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. This may be the reel "Miss Fraser" that John McGill, a dancing master in Girvan, wrote the directions to in 1752 for his students. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest printing of a tune with this title in Robert Bremner's 1757 collection (p. 18), and two settings of a tune by this name appear in the 1768 (James) Gillespie Manuscript of Perth.
