MISS H. SCOTT'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Borders fiddler-composer biography:John Pringle (c. 1770-c. 1807). The title probably refers to Harriet Scott (b. 1794), one of the four daughters of Lieutenant-General John Scott (1757-1812) of Craigentinny, Edinburgh, 5th Baronet of Ancrum, and his wife Harriet Graham.
