MISS TROTTERS OF BUSH'S REEL. Scottish, Reel (cut time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The Trotters of Bush were members of Clan Trotter in the Scottish Borders. Robert Trotter of The Bush, Castlelaw, and Dryden, Midlothian (d.1807) stood as the Postmaster General for Scotland in the very early 19th century. Artist George Romney painted the portrait of Ann Trotter (1759-1822), daughter of John Trotter Esq. or Castleshiels Co. Berwick and of Horton, Surrey, who posed for her portrait in 1788, the year after her marriage to Robert.
