Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The first strain (only) is cognate with "Deuks Dang o'er My Daddie (The)." "Moll Ross" was entered into the music copybook of Welsh fiddler John Thomas, dated 1752, in a version identical to Johnson's, and it was also entered into Somerset fiddler William Winter (Somerset) mid-19th century music manuscript collection.
