The Gow's appropriated biography:Duncan MacIntyre's tune and renamed it "Lady Lucy Ramsay's Strathspey (1)." See note for annotation:Lady Lucy Ramsay's Strathspey (1)" for more. It was not the first time that the Gows re-titled MacIntyre's tunes (see "annotation:Lord John Campbell (1)"), and, since MacIntyre is thought to have moved to India in the very beginning of the 19th century, one wonders if they felt there would be little repercussion in the practice.
