MUDDY CREEK [1]. American, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part: AAB (Titon): AABB' (Phillips). This repetitive melody is sometimes played slower than a standard breakdown tempo, but source John Salyer and his sons keep it at a moderately danceable speed. It is a binary tune, but the parts are similar and there is little demarkation of the second strain.
