NEGROE, THE. English, Country Dance Tune (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Fr. John Quinn finds this tune related to the later "What a Beau Your Granny was (1)" and "Over the Moor to Betty." It is perhaps an ancestral melody.
