NEW QUADRILLES FIGURE 4.   Irish, Reel (whole time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB.  This fourth and final part of County Mayo farmer and fiddler Philip Carolan's "New Quadrilles" set of tunes is distinctly different in character that the first three figures, being quite Irish sounding.   Carolan gave the titles "The Indian Melody" and "Captain Rocks" with the tune, but it is not the "Indian Melody" that appears in the Goodman manuscript collection.  The tune does have some small resemblance to "Captain Rock (2)," but too few points of correspondence to consider it cognate.
