Composed by Alex Joe MacEachern, brother of famous Cape Breton composer Dan Hughie MacEachern apparently after a trip to the city [Cranford]. Originally recorded by Cape Breton fiddler Winston "Scotty" Fitzgerald (1914-1987). In MacEachern's Collection Vol. 2 it is called "Alex Joe's Jig," notes Paul Cranford.
