NEWMARKET POLKA [1]. AKA and see "Derrygallen Bridge (The)," "John Walsh's (1)," "Walshe's Polka (2)." Irish, Polka. Ireland, West Kerry. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by John Walsh (Derrygallen, near Kanturk, County Cork) and usually called after him. The "Newmarket" title comes from its inclusion in a set on a 1990 recording by Patrick Street called "The Newmarket Polkas."
