OLD BRASS WAGON. American, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune was played by fiddlerHomer Edgar "Slim"Miller, originally from Lizton, Hendricks County, central Indiana, who worked for over 20 years (beginning in 1939) as an old time fiddler and comedian on the Renfro Valley Barn Dance, Kentucky. Prior to that he had played on the WLS National Barn Dance in Chicago for five years. He played this tune on a radio broadcast in 1937 with his band The Corncrackers.
