OLD MOSE [2]. AKA - "Old Moses." American, Reel (cut time). C Major (Sims): G Major (Canote). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB or AABB. Sometimes played in the key of 'G'. From the playing of fiddler Garry Harrison (1954-2012), who collected it from farmer and fiddler Howard Sims (1896-1977) of Modesto, southern Illinois . Howard Marshall says the "Old Moses" title is from extreme southwest Missouri (may refer to "Old Mose (1)]]."
