OLD WAGON WAY. AKA and see "Down the Wagon Way (2)," "I Winna Gae to Bed." English, Air and Reel. England, Northumberland. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Matt Seattle believes this may be a precursor of the air for the Northumbrian song "Doon the Wagon Way" [1]. He finds a cognate in the Scottish "I Winna Gae to Bed" (Till I'm Married), and has similarities with "For a' that and a' that" and "Wind that Shakes the Barley (The)."
