OUGHTERSIDE RANT. English, Reel (cut time). D Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Oughterside Rant" is contained in the 1762 music manuscript collection of Cumbrian musician Joseph Barnes. The transcription in the manuscript is problematic with regard to time signature and barring, and was reconstructed by John Offord (who moved the first bar line after the g note in the beginning of the tune, making the 'g' a pickup note).
