PADDY "GO EASY" (Paidin sasda). AKA and see “Beer Drinker (The),” "Drunken Piper (5) (The)," "Hole in the Hedge (1) (The)," “Jackson's Stranger (1),” "Jig (45)," “Larry the Beer Drinker.” Irish, Double Jig (6/8 time). D Major ('A' and 'C' parts) & A Mixolydian ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. R.M. Levey printed the tune as “Beer Drinker (The)” in 1858, so perhaps the ‘go easy’ of the title is an admonition for moderation in drink. See also “Fiddler's Heaven (1),” which uses the second and third strains of "Paddy 'Go Easy'."
