PADDY BREEN'S JIG (Port Pháidí Uí Bhraoin). AKA and see "Farewell to Lissycasey," "Patsy Mack." Irish, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Paddy Breen was a singer, tin whistle (and Orkon flageolet), and flute player from Kilmihil, Co. Clare, who spent many years in London where he worked in the building trade. Séamus Mac Mathúna told Brendan Taaffe in a 2004 interview: "I recall numerous nights in Cooraclare [East Clare] as a young fellow, the likes of Solus Lillis, Jer O’Sullivan, Tommy Carey, and a whole lot of people only slightly older than myself, would be playing. Paddy Breen if he was home." Breen died in 1966.
