PADDY KELLY'S REEL [6]. Irish, Reel (whole or cut time). G Mixoldyian/Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Paddy Kelly's Reel [6]" is a composition of Aughrim, east Galway fiddler Paddy Kelly, who was born in 1906. The tune is occasionally credited to Paddy Fahey and has appeared under his name (like Kelly, Fahey did not title his compositions which are therefore listed numerically under their names. However, titles have become attached to many of their compositions through the vicissitudes of traditional use.

The first strain of Jerry Holland's "Dave "Normaway" MacDonald's Wedding Reel" is very similar, particularly in the first three measures.
