PETER QUINN'S JIG.   Irish, Jig (6/8 time). Ireland, County Donegal.  G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'.  The two 'c' notes in the second strain are played as c# notes.  County Donegal fiddler Danny Meehan had the tune from his neighbor, Peter Quinn, an older fiddler who lived nearby in the same townland. Quinn had gone to England for work but returned periodically, and Meehan learned the tune from him on a visit in the summer of 1952.
