PLEASANT WALK, THE. American (?), Air (6/8 time). A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Pleasant Walk" is a laboring air sung in the Shaker community of Hancock [1], Massachusetts, around 1857. The first strain of the tune was adapted by Phidelio Collins from a Revolutionary War-era martial tune called "Cuba March (The)."
