POLO MARCH, THE. Canadian, March or Polka (2/4 time). Canada; Cape Breton, Prince Edward Island. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA’B (Cranford): AA’BB (Perlman). The tune is always played as the second tune in a medley with “Southern Melody,” and the pair was introduced by Cape Breton fiddler Winston “Scotty” FitzGerald.
