N:a teenager, learned the tune from Eck Robertson in Amarillo, Tx., where
N:he and his father used to go. Eck lived on the main road. Shorty learned to
N:tune the fiddle down from him. He also taught Shorty "Lost Indian [1]" [John Hartford].
N:Transcribed by John Hartford from the playing of Jim "Texas Shorty" Chancellor,
N:who also had the tune from Benny Thomasson.
N:AEac# tuning (fiddle). Finger notes in transcription as if fiddle was in standard
N:tuning.
