Soucy researcher Jean Duval remarks that the piece seems to be a version of "Lass o' Dallogill (The)," a 6/8 jig from the north of England^[1]Jean Duval,La Musique de Isidore Soucy 1899-1962, 2017, p. 198.</ref>. The first strains are indeed similar, however, it sounds to me like a variant of the "Betty Martin/Pretty Betty Martin (1)" or "Tip Toe Fine" family of tunes.
