QUADRILLE "LAURIER" 6ÈME PARTIE. French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). F Sharp Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Soucy researcher Jean Duval finds this quadrille part to be Isidore Soucy's version of the reel popularized by Bernard Morin and Jean Carignan as "Reel des colons (1)," although Soucy's 1927 recording predates either of their versions. Soucy also recorded the tune earlier in the year for Columbia records under the title "Quadrille de campagne 6ème partie" [1]
