QUADRILLE BOUCHARD (deuxième partie) [2]. French Canadian, Galope. D Major ('A' part) & G Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. This is a version of "Quadrille Bouchard Deuxieme Partie (1),” and the second part of a quadrille set, recorded by Bouchard himself some 35 years after his original Bluebird recording (1938). The tune is more elaborate and much 'notier'. Hart & Sandall note the key modulation of a fifth between parts is characteristic of tunes from the Québec City region.
