A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Boulay researcher Jean Duval finds the tune also in the repertoires of Alfred Montmarquette and Mary Travers ("La Bolduc") as "Galop des frontières" (1930), Isidore Soucy as "Reel des dentists" (1937) and Joseph Allard as "Gigue du sous-marin" (1942).
