Crotty's," “Tap Room (2) (The)," "Washwoman (The).” Irish, Reel (cut time). E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Donnellan/O'Connor): ABC. The reel appears in the large mid-19th century music manuscript collection (vol. 3, p. 147 [1]) of County Cork cleric and uilleann piper Canon biography:James Goodman, and a version was entered as an untitled reel in the c. 1883 music manuscript collection of County Leitrim fiddler and piper biography:Stephen Grier," as well as in the c. 1909 collection of biography:Rev. Luke Donnellan (Oriel region, County Louth). Famed Sligo fiddler Michael Coleman recorded this tune as the second in a medley with “Dr. Gilbert's.”
