The tune has been popular at American contra-dances as “Old French.” "Rambler's Hornpipe" was recorded on a 1990 home tape by fiddler biography:Erskine Morris (1913-1997), originally from Douglastown, an anglo-francophone community on the tip of the Gaspé peninsula.
