REEL MARIE.   French-Canadian, Reel (cut time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Reel Marie" was recorded in 1929 by St-Tite, Québec, restauranteur, barber and fiddler Soter Mongrain, who perhaps dedicated to his wife Marie-Olivine, according to researcher Jean Duval. Soter's daughter Ida (1912-1986) accompanied him on the piano. The reel is reminiscent of the American reel "Wagoner (1)" AKA "Johnny Wagoner".
