REEL DE CHARNY. French-Canadian, Reel (cut or 2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Reel de Charny" was recorded in 1938 by fiddler Jos. Bouchard (1905-1979) and named for a neighborhood in the town of Lévis, to the east of Québec city on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River.
