The tune is a version of the venerable march country dance "White Cockade (1) (The)," one of the most popular melodies in the English-speaking world. It was recorded as "Reel des Laurentides" by the group Chevaliers du folklore in 1936, led by accordion player Tommy Duchesne (1909-1986).
