REMEMBER ME HORNPIPE. AKA – “Carrycoats Hall.” English, Hornpipe. England, Northumberland. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A popular Northumbrian tune composed by Robert Whinham (1814-1893), a musician, fiddler, dancing master, teacher and composer originally from Morpeth. Dixon (1995) notes that the tune given by Hall & Stafford was compressed in the 3rd bar to accommodate the range of the Northumbrian pipe chanter.
