RIO GRANDE. American, Reel (cut time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBC. This moderately-paced reel is sourced to Oklahoma/West Texas fiddler Tom Fuller (1890-1979), whose style predated the modern contest-influenced Texas fiddling. The second strain is 'crooked', or irregularly metered.
