ROLLICKING IRISHMAN, THE. AKA and see “Bonnie Green Garters (1),” "Cork Road," "Father O'Flynn," "To Drink with the Devil," "Top of Cork Road (1) (The)," "Trample our Enemies," "Yorkshire Lasses (1)." Irish, English; Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Despite the title, Bayard (1981) says that English versions in print precede Irish ones. Moffat can find no earlier Irish printing than 1798, while Kidson finds the tune published in England (as "The Yorkshire Lasses") in the latter 18th century (1779 and 1781).
