AKA and see "Bonny Lass of Luss (The) ," "Dublin Lasses (2) ," "Miss Hay's Reel (2) ," "Mr. John Shaw Stewart’s (1) ," "Mrs. Crawfurd of Donside ," "Scotch Hunt (1) ," "Sir James Campbell's Strathspey and Gigg ," "Sir John Shaw Stewart's Strathspey ." Irish, Reel. G Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Related to “Dowd's Favorite ”/“O'Dowd's Favourite ” and “Tee Ree Reel (The) .” Breathnach (1996) also finds it related to O’Neill’s “Murtough Molloy ” (DMI, No. 741), “Flowers in May ,” “Ladies' Pantaloons ,” and “Scotch Hunt (1) .” Sliabh Luachra fiddler Denis Murphy played a variant he called “Dublin Lasses (2) ,” although it bears no relation to the “Dublin Lasses” as printed by O’Neill. However, the tune is a major mode setting of the G minor strathspey "Mr. John Shaw Stewart’s (1) /Sir John Shaw Stewart's Strathspey " printed in Edinburgh by the Gow family.
