SALUT DES DAMES. French-Canadian, Quadrille (2/4 time). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. The title "Salut des dames' refers to a section of a quadrille as danced in Quebec, according to researcher Jean Duval, who finds support in the fact that in the unpublished 1927 version of Boucher's collection this tune was titled "Vieux quadrille" (Old Quadrille).
