SCOTCH MORRIS. English, Country Dance Tune (cut time). A Minor/Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The only appearance of this tune in print is in John Young's third edition of The Second Volume of the Dancing Master (London, 1726, p. 19), with directions for a country dance. From the title it would appear to have been associated with morris dancing, but this is not known (Young also printed a "French Morris" in the same volume).
