SCOTTY FITZGERALD’S JIG. Canadian, Jig (6/8 time). Canada, Cape Breton. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Cape Breton/Ontario fiddler Sandy MacIntyre in 1962, for his friend Winston "Scotty" Fitzgerald [1] (1914-1987). Paul Cranford says the tune is a popular set tune at local Cape Breton dances. See also another MacIntyre composition for Fitzgerald, "Winston Fitzgerald's Jig."
