"Sets canadiens [4]" is a version of the Scottish "Lord MacDonald (4)", from the playing of fiddler Georges Frappier, recorded for Gennett Records in Montreal in 1921. The cut four sides of "Sets canadiens", the first two from francophone Quebec, and the second two from anglophone Quebec. Quebec versions of "Lord MacDonald's" are several--see Andre Alain's "Petit_Bûcheux_(Le)," A.J. Boulay's "Virginia Reel Part 1" (1923) and Jos Bouchard's "Reel St-Émile," for a few of them.
