SHEFFIELD HORNPIPE [2]. English, Hornpipe (cut time). England, Yorkshire. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A different tune than "Sheffield Hornpipe (1)"—Barry Callaghan (2007) calls it “the other” “Sheffield Hornpipe.” In addition to its appearance in the Leadley manuscripts, the “Sheffield Hornpipe [2]” also can be found in the early 19th century music manuscripts of Joshua Burnett (Worsborough, south Yorkshire) and John Hall (Northumberland).
