SLIM JIM'S REEL. AKA and see "Boys in Blue," "Take it out of that." American, Reel (2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABCC'. Boston music publisher Elias Howe printed the same tune twice, albeit with different titles, in his Musician's Omnibus Nos. 6 & 7 (1880-1882). A few years later it appeared in another Howe publication, Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883), as "Boys in Blue."
